I had the opportunity of attending the Diabetes UK Professionals Conference held at the ExCel London in April. This event, provided a platform for networking, learning, and sharing insights on diabetes management and treatment.
The Diabetes UK Professional Conference is highly recommended for healthcare professionals, researchers, and scientists. It features a comprehensive and diverse programme that involves various disciplines, providing attendees with the latest and most relevant information in the field of diabetes care and research.
The conference proved to be a great opportunity for attendees to network with industry professionals and gain valuable insights into the latest advancements in diabetes research and upcoming resources. The event was a hub of information on cutting-edge technologies aimed at addressing various aspects of diabetes health, including innovative approaches to gum and liver health.
Attendees were equipped with key information, along with various leaflets and booklets on display on the context of managing overall health in diabetes. I made sure to network and introduce myself through interacting with several healthcare stands, gaining valuable information about their work, and understanding their latest advancements. During the event, I gained insights into the 4SURE Smart blood glucose monitoring system, developed by the Nipro-group. This monitoring system is designed for individuals managing Type 2 diabetes, this device offers results with accuracy surpassing ISO standards.
This interaction, among the many others that provided me with the opportunity to explain in more detail what we do here at NEC Care while opening the door for potential collaborations. Having this opportunity and being able to network and communicate with other professionals enable me to improve on my own knowledge of what we do here in Diabetic Eye Screening but also furthered my knowledge on the latest advancements in the industry. I highly recommend this conference to healthcare professionals involved in diabetes management. The Diabetes UK Professionals Conference not only offers a wealth of knowledge but also provides an abundance of networking opportunities that can foster collaboration. In my opinion it is a must-attend event for those looking to stay at the forefront of diabetes research and innovation.
Lastly, on reflection, I believe this event and similar conferences provide a real opportunity for us to showcase the excellent work that we do here. It is important that we have a strong presence at these conferences so we can continue to educate and promote the importance of Diabetes Eye Screening along with the new initiatives that we are rolling out. It is also a great opportunity to receive feedback from other health professionals, could possible pick up new systems and ideas which could be valuable to us.
