NEC run the Republic of Ireland Diabetic Eye Screening on behalf of the HSE. The programme is fully compliant with HSE standards and policies. Anybody living with diabetes aged 12 and over who is registered to a GP in this region will be automatically invited to attend a diabetic eye screening appointment. You will be invited to the clinic closest to your home address.
If you would like to know more about Diabetic Retinopathy or the screening services please visit About Diabetic RetinaScreen – HSE.ie
Please note online booking is not available for this programme

It is extremely important you do not drive to your appointment. As the drops we use will cause your vision to become blurry and sensitive to light, this can invalidate your license. We recommend you use public transport or arrange somebody to take you to your appointment, select your clinic location above to find out more information on bus routes.
If you cannot use public transport and unable to arrange for somebody to bring you, you may be eligible for volunteer or non-emergency hospital transport. Please note: You may have to meet certain criteria, and volunteer transport may require a donation.
